I was listening to Spotify the other day when it went to a commercial break and started playing a snippet of The New Eternity off of Silent Planet's new album titled "When the End Began". I thought to myself, "Shit, this sounds good. I'll save the album and listen to it later."
Turns out it IS pretty good.
Thank you for checking it out! ^^Wiresetc said about 1 month ago:
Silent Planet released a new album. Heavy, melodic and the lyrics are great. Recommended if you like metalcore.
In Absence
Northern Fires (Guernica)
Vanity Of Sleep
The New Eternity
Didn't know Spotify advertised metal albums.
CrazyEightyEight's new album sounds pretty good too.
Tears In Rain
Nitroglycerin
Oh, I was thinking someone might've mentioned them before. It was you. :pWiresetc said:

Yeah, usually I get really horrible, jarring ads for, like, Home Depot or some movie I don't wanna see, but somehow an ad for them got through. XD
I read up on them a little, and it said that some people have referred to them as a "Christian metal" band. I think it's awesome that even exists.
I think that they've incorporated those themes well into their music. It's seamless.
Yes, Christian metal actually exists and some bands manage to blend their message with the instruments very well. Silent Planet is part of a Christian metal label called Solid State Records. Bands like Norma Jean and Fit For A King are recommended. August Burns Red also used to be signed to the label, but they are with Fearless now and still putting out lots of great music.
On a different note, Our Last Night released a new song.

Interesting that you shared this here... I was just talking about dance ideas with my counselor today and I see this... Isn't it interesting how everything connects? It's like the world telling me to upload dance routines on YouTube. I dance a lot too.
I really wan't to thank you for your thumbs up on Hayley's Dance mattiasc02, it meant a lot to her. Much appreciated my friend.
Lol awww! You're welcome! She has talent. She'll do great things.eclimial said:

anyways, Ciara - Like a Boy (piano)
like omggg in my head I'm screaming so loudly like... his piano skills are *inhales* AAHHHHH <3
Thank you once again mattiasc02.
I would love to see some of your dances, it would encourage Hayley so much, she is only 15 and maybe she could learn from you on how to progress. You could compare your styles and maybe share a new friendship. I have shared your comments with her and what you said ,,,, you have really lifted her so much.
Encouragement is small word but it means everything.
My only wish now is that my Konachan family give Hayley's Dance a thumbs up! It would only take a second but it could change her life!

Here is an amazing tribute to Freddie, performed by Elton John and Axl Rose, and the incredible guitar work of Brian May, one of the original founding members of Queen

The Flame Deluge - Thrice
The Alchemy Index, Vols. 1 & 2: Fire & Water is 👌

That whole album is haunting.
I only recently listened to the follow up, Air & Earth (don't know why it took me so long), and it was amazing too. Although one of the songs did feature a portion that was basically the ASMR version of being buried alive and it legit made me uncomfortable.
The whole concept of them doing a collection of songs based around the four elements, with each element getting six songs, was really cool.
I never realized how heavily Christian a lot of Thrice's stuff was either. Because I didn't know much about Dustin Kensrue. I love him.

Thank God the time limit has expired and I can now share with you my favourite J Pop, J Jazz, J Disco song (whatever you wanna call it ... I call it J pitch perfect perfection)
I will never tire of listening to Junko Yagami, especially Bay City, OMG I love this song! (and yes I have silly secret crush on her)

I kind of hate Baby Metal. It's another one of those manufactured things that rubs me the wrong way. They're just...selling the image.
And one of the girls was treated "inappropriately" by men who were working with the group.

The best metal is symphonic gothic metal - and Lacrimosa is the best of the best, imo
Lacrimosa - Ich bin der brennende Komet (Live)
...The next best thing is folk punk rock:
The king and fool - On the edge
The king and fool - The dance of the evil genius

Thank you for the update Emmy, I have since done some research on the Baby Metal band, and there are many grey areas. I owe you and Konachan an apology.otaku_emmy said:

One of the lead female singers Yui Mizuno left Baby Metal recently for undisclosed contractible reasons, which seems like a cover up, and certainly confirms your reasoning that she was treated "inappropriately"
Also Mikio Fujioka, one of the bands amazing lead guitarists died in suspicious circumstances in early 2018, he was still very young.
I have since decided not to follow Baby Metal any more. You opened my eyes Emmy!
By way of redeeming the mistake in my choices for wonderful Japanese bands I hope you may follow this, I trust this will not disappoint

This truly confirms my love of Japanese traditional rock fusion, without the frills of fake promotion.
It's okay, Al. It's just that...a lot of people don't consider certain things. They only care to see the surface or what's presented to them. They want to be entertained. They don't consider the human side of things. It's something I see a lot on social media and YouTube as well. It doesn't help that people in my generation have issues with entitlement.
Anyway, I should post a song here shouldn't I? Lemme see here...
Edit: Changed my mind.

Yes I totally agree, we the viewers have been corrupted by the corporate music machine, and we are as much victims as the artists, pure talent doesn't seem to count for much any more.otaku_emmy said:

True musicians don't rate, it's all about Simon Cowells's US has talent, and what he thinks he can sell.
I got fooled by Baby Metal, but I'm returning to reality, true talent does not emerge from cheap talent shows, it comes from doing the hard yards, playing small clubs and pubs.
The most beautiful song I have ever heard came from this environment.
Tak Matsumoto - Hana
Tak Matsumoto is arguably the best Japanese guitarists on the planet.... and never won one talent stupid corporate show, but we knew as the public, he was brilliant!
And Larry Carlton, as one of the best US guitarists recognized his talent, that beats any talent show ever
Easy Mystery
Because I like Sumire Uesaka so much and because I just finished Pop Team Epic, here's the show's OP.
I enjoyed the show more than I thought I would. And by that I mean it's my new favorite (along with Nichijou).

Currents' new EP "I Let The Devil In" was released a few days ago and it is some of the best metal I heard this year. This is Forever Marked. Fast, heavy, melodic and a great chorus.

St. Stephen I love the Grateful Dead. If you've never smoked pot, you may find this song boring ;)
