Dream in 3 parts: 1. Messed up an electrical wire 2. Found an old coin 3. Saw some kind of pornographic...thing. I think I was watching a commercial for a porno DVD. Guy had a HUGE penis. But it was pixelated. A girl was blowin' some other guy, then some cow girl. Then this lady gave me a sex shop coupon. Real strange.

The amount of words is irrelevant, the experience is what matters. I'm glad you understand this. At least I dare assume you do. Hey we're back at the same argument. So my answer would be YES if I had to force my mind to stop being so hard on itself and skip some time I'll blow through all of 'em. In any other case, only if the storyline would be to hard to split up making me lose the storyline and such.SK7000 said: Do you think you will enjoy an anime series more if you go through a weekend marathon so that you see it all in one go?
P.S. I started working on not ignoring dreams again with some minor progress (in just 2 days I may add, after years of just remember zero experience zero, I am very happy about this! It also made me curious about the how of it, but i'll try to cling to happy for a bit longer before I buzzkill myself as is tradition). I hope to be able to share one that isn't 100% mundane or boring though .
@Mnessie:
The Lord of the Rings is not a trilogy, it was meant to be six books (according to the author), but it is sold normally as three books, hence a lot of people call it a trilogy.
Personally speaking, I can't EVEN finish a book in a short amount of time if I really like it. This is because I often take breaks to sit back and reflect on the material I just acquired. I may even go back and reread some pages if the section was really important. From that point of view, I am trying to make the experience last as long as possible.
I should go back to the topic, though. Dreams... I recall I once had this really strange dream (more than a dozen years ago) where I was being sucked into the world of Super Mario World, and in there I had to sneak around so I could find the key and find the way back home. Long dream, click to read it.
I've sometimes wondered if there is a meaning to this dream. It's like it is telling me that life is a much more dull place than I wish it were (at times I feel like I am living my life like a videogame). Some people think it is very peculiar that I had the same dream multiple times, and with knowledge of the previous time for each instance. @_@'

That is one way of seeing it. I am not sure whether we can properly compare a short experience with a long one. Is a book that you devoured through a weekend because the story was so good, comparable to one that took you two months to read, but also very good?Mnessie said:

Nah, I pretty sure that the human mind simply works that way.
Having dreams multiple times is nothing to be worried about IMO, especially, if it concerns things that you feel VERY STRONGLY about, like, what you said, a view of life. It might be just you reminding yourself about something, or you're generally bored and need some new experiences to put them into dreams.
Also, if you find your life dull, it's your responsibility to make it interesting.(I'm sure that you know that already SK, but others might not, never mind how ridiculous that sounds. People tend not to think about the most trivial things most of the time)

Had a dream where I was in an old bathroom of some sorts staring down the barrel of a gun by some sort of depressed mobster or something but I didn't flinch that much when he pulled out his piece and pointed it at me. He fired a shot but I think it missed me. After the shot was fired I casually took the gun from his hand and pointed it at him. I fired a shot myself but I purposely missed him. Afterward I noticed the bullet I fired was made of some sort of stained glass crystal or something. It was hot to touch and I woke up soon after.
Why do I get all the weird dreams?

I finally had a dream and woke up and remembered it again and made the rookie mistake of figuring "nah I'll write it down later!". *sigh*
100% gone :P I have no idea what it was, and all I know is that when I woke up I reacted pretty happy with "yay finally a dream I didn't instant delete!"
Any idea why you had ideas of a conflict fight weapons bathroom in it?
Like I said, all I have is weird dreams these days. I can't even begin to make sense of them.Mnessie said:

The only other kind of dreams I have are the super realistic ones. Sometimes I can't even tell when it's reality or a dream, even if said dream makes no sense. Kind of weird since I just started watching Yume Tsukai.
Okay, had an awesome one, but forgot it sadly, but in return, I do remember a less interesting one, but it's more important to me.
It started out, I was probably at the beaches of North Carolina, and I was in this white box, that was big enough for me sit comfortably in, and I was outside. It was extremely windy and it started to slide my box. The skies darkened and it started to rain harder and harder. I was having fun sliding in the box for a moment, then I saw I was heading towards the ocean, and that terrified me. I started trying to get out of the rectangular hole that I knew I could, but the box was shaking violently while sliding so it made it very difficult to get out. I had only made it halfway out when I was tossed far out into the sea. I felt my heart stop and my body go cold, realizing how far out at sea I was, and I have a great fear of the ocean, so this was really bad. I was there sitting in the box like a boat and began to ask God for help frantically but tried to remain calm, and cupping the water trying to get back to land. I was at least a mile or two out and I noticed the rain began to lighten up as I ask for His help, and gradually the sun came out and I neared the shore, but the dreams ended there.
I wont go into how I feel about this one because I'm not gonna start up a religious debate in this thread, but I will say I felt at peace afterwards.

O.O you have some awesome dreams, Gregol. There's something amusing about the thought of a teddy-bear threat.
Okay, is there some kind of trick to having dreams? You guys have all of these great dreams and i get nothing, I don't understand... btw nice dream Gregol but i wish the squirrelfox would come back :3
I find that I normally dream more often when my mind is racing with thoughts before falling asleep.
For instance, if I have plans on things I really am looking forwards to, it's almost guaranteed that I'll have a dream the night before.
Though, I've heard others mention that supposedly we dream all the time when we sleep, it's just that the majority of the time we have absolutely no recollection of any of it once we wake up.

Actually, for the second time in my life, I seem to have entered dream season.
Last time it happened when I was twelve/thirteen.
Usually, I only have around two or three very vivid dreams. Surprisingly, I have absolutely no control of the dream either. Stuff just happens to me!
In less vivid/more common dreams, I sometimes have full control. Other times, the dream ends with me fleeing from a monster, and gravity randomly starts growing weaker, as the end gets closer.

Alright, I'm gonna try that. The thing is when i was a little kid my mind was always racing with thoughts and all that did was make falling asleep difficult and give me nightmares... awful ones... but what can I say? I'm desperate.
Well, try filling your mind with positive thoughts! I very seldom have nightmares, probably because I am usually optimistic in life, and I have no attraction to horror films or anything like that (so I wouldn't even be able to conjure up scary images if I tried).
Back upon a time, when I was (rather desperately) looking for a girlfriend, I would dream rather frequently about trying to captivate someone, only to lose them or get interrupted. Since it was the main focus of my life, it spilled into my dreams which projected my hopes and fears from my daily life. After all, dreams seem to be the way our subconscious plays with the emotions and memories of our conscious.
PS: Just, whatever you do, don't think about teddy bears.

Some pain in my teeth (due to my bottom braces being put on recently) reminded me of a dream I had about a year ago.

She started crying, and I hugged her(which is weird, because hugging literally, physically hurts me IRL).
But in all seriousness, hugs are the best thing humans have to offer when it comes to comfort, just like everything that's almost a hug. How on earth can somone not enjoy that O_o. It's outside my reality and ability to see it like that. (So why say it then when obviously it won't help to talk about ?... I dunno.... just felt like I had to. Especially given the teddybear context)
I started dreaming again recently. Trying to start again since I dropped remembering them as much as possible. I used to care a lot about dreaming but after a while I forced myself to stop caring and writing about it. Now I write down what I can again since a week or so. I made a little progress now and then. I couldn't really remember why I stopped anymore nor could I really remember any dreams for a long time.
Aaaaand then I remembered why I stopped caring about dreams.... >_>.....I can't remember how it led up to this dream and the only thing after this one little "detail".....I remember is waking up rattled and sweaty. You may not want to read this if you don't like horrifying ideas and images
Suffice it to say I'm not so sure about wanting to continue actively pursueing dreaming if this keeps happening again. My dreams can get really #$#ed up and a little too visual.
I can't really say it's worth it to pursue dreams if this is what you get. Then I guess it won't be getting much worse anytime soon. I prefer your teddybears Gregol :/
That's why this is a dream thread, not a nightmare thread.
I had a dream some nights ago, but I have completely forgotten about it by now XD I should try writing them down... but by the time I get to my computer, it's already too late @_@'

Nope. It's called a dream thread because it's about dreams. I used a spoiler to avoid upsetting anyone. Out of all reactions I wasn't expecting a "fits the rules" one. But I guess that's the tradition >_>Black_Rock_Shooter said:
Feel free to share you craziest, funniest, weirdest dream you've had so far, and don't feel limited to 1 dream, share as many as you want!
Forgetting them is the easiest thing ever. If you write them down don't bother using a story yet, just get the key elements IN ORDER and it's done. From there it's super easy t o build back up.
xD It wasn't a "follow the rules, dimwit!" response neither. It was more of "that's why we prefer sharing our dreams, not our nightmares. Who wants to really remember those? :S" type of answer.
Though, I can see why somebody could have read it differently.

Well, nightmares ARE dreams, so posting a nightmare here is fine to, but your right, who would want to post a nightmare to remember it? But then again, some people, you never know.SK7000 said:

As for something to do with the thread itself, yesterday, I had TONS of dreams due to being in bed, asleep all day from some stomach ache, (Even remembered how much fun puking your guts out was.) but I had so many I can't remember any of them but just a spec of one that's not really worth typing, but I'll do it anyway.
One part was in a ruined western(?) town like in the old West, and it was shielded from view by the mountains. It was sunset, with the golden cast over the place, and I was hiding among the rooftops from someone with Lulu from Blood+ for some reason.
Next I just remember a starry night sky, where it was snowing gently on an already blanketed forest. Much like something you'd see on a typical Christmas card, and inside, where some slides that produced some kind of sweet honey textured liquid while you slid down inside the darker, and warmer pools below, where I saw several others enjoying a good time.
That's it really, but I knew I have many dreams that day.
I had a dream a few nights ago that I was wearing blue jeans but I wasn't wearing undies underneath them. That was it.

I'm no dream expert but perhaps your dream is reflecting an inner desire for freedom?
I dunno know about THAT kind of freedom ^_^'. I always thought that was kinda gross.
Not nearly as gross as what I was just thinking when you said that :3otaku_emmy said:

11 months agoScary Weird DreamI was in some sort of post apocalptic Kansas where there were human/bird/dinosaur hybrids that would hunt you down to protect their eggs. There were also zombies, but they were more the angry and stupid kind. Then I took shelter in an Old Navy store of some kind where there was some kind of doll display in back with some sort of weird gameshow/theater theme and oddly enough I was thinking about how this was one part of the store I always used to like. (Since when does Old Nayy has something like that?) And in back of that store front there was a lot of wooden wreckage made into a makeshift hut where some kind of AV geek lived and had a video camera. There were shards of glass everywhere too. Then other survivors arrived which appeared to be dressed in Victorian styled clothing or something. They said they were looking for a glass house to hide in since a huge tornado was coming our way, and I assumed the glass shards made up what used to be a glass house. With the glass house destroyed, we all got sucked into the tornado. Then for some reason I was in space getting sucked into some sort dark dimensional vortex from which no one can return from. Upon getting sucked into the void I woke up.
Two More Realistic DreamsI think I also had a dream about me playing some sort of cute monster raising RGP with Pokemon themes. Followed by a dream that you guys responded to me about which of my fanmade Pokemon you guys liked the most, which is weird since I never uploaded that list to you guys.
