SK7000 said: Uhm, Mnessie, let's think about the scientific method.
I didn't stop as far as I can tell. Perhaps one of my more thought provoking statements wasn't wrapped in enough arguments. Sometimes I just use strategy in words to provoke a response I was looking for. Sorry for causing any confusion if I did. It's an ancient habit of mine. Consider it a mapping technique. Nothing too threatening :)

Thusly
In whatever means will make them less annoying with the lowest cost function possible using existing methods or new methods. The reward function is not being annoyed and the measurement of efficiency is just as simple. Did it get less or more annoying? Given that only the subject itself needs to deal with the problem this subjective measuring standard will function.
I don't see how this example helps in understanding life experiences. To me its functions and absorbed knowledge. You can use it or gain it or search for it. his view to me is an example of a situation that needs a method to be found or developed. It's the situations that involve more people in which my subjective measuring standards will not work that interest me.
Some people are actually locked up in thinking they should have to use only their existing knowledge to solve problems. To those I have but one word of advice: "Internet". I have also seen people that would rather not use their own knowledge or problem solving abilities and rely on others first before letting themselve interact. I am foreign in most regards to those views and would like to get to understand them. From my point of view I find it dangerously vulnerable to losing potential growth and development. Or in one word. Weak.
Several proverbs have been known to say: "That which does not grow. 1: rots. 2: falls into decay. 3: withers away and dies." Aside from the lack of poetic ability from some historic figures I'd say they are close enough and accurate enough. Such a complex image should have been painted in words. Not blurted out.

Consider this point clarified and understood. Indeed, this is something that I find rare to the point I'm not even sure anymore what that feels like ^_^. I suppose that makes me very open-minded then.
Discussion Continued, several topics
SK7000 said: Changing the definition of a word from the official dictionary one is not going to make things easier to discuss, you know.
Just editing my concept of bias to something I will remember more easily yet still matches that definition. From your response I can see it's not the one I was looking for. I'll adapt.
SK7000 said: In fact, I don't think we have really been discussing bias at all so far. It's something closer to... "can we have (and defend) an opinion knowing it might not be the truth?" I think, would you agree?
That is the position people can find themselves in when dealing with bias and belief. They can have both at the same time. My last suggestion was that this should be considered a generally temporary state of searching for a solid state given that the subject of it is capable of replacing it with an acceptable (to him/her) alternative. Any thoughts on this SK7000? (Gregol suggested this before I did so obviously I know his thoughts on the matter. More are welcome of course)
In any case let us continue then on bias and the last statement first and then circle back here.
