that's one jacked up muzzle brake....
It's a suppressor, not muzzle brake, fitted on an AEK-999.
Aish, I'd hate having the seats and wall that close to where the gun is. Us taller people would be scrunched up trying to fit behind it.
still look more like a made-shift muzzle brake to me, that size aint exactly convincing....TommyGunn said:

If it's a muzzle brake than it's a poor one. There's no place for the gas to escape except the front and that defeats the purpose. If you want proof...ArthurS91 said:

pi'm Pretty sure TommyGunn is right you guys...
i'd be more concerned why it placed in baseball field...
A firing range is a better use of space than a baseball field in my opinion.XII said:

Hm, I can see batting training work great for snipers, though.StahnAileron said:
Double-duty field? Baseball and firing range? *shrug* Japan is limited on viable real estate, after all. Just make sure the activities are never scheduled for overlapping periods... Unless there's a new twist being added to one or the other. Maybe you have to shoot at the ball and hit it with a bullet instead of a bat.
well meh, been looking up some weird gun barrel stuff recently, guess that pretty much impaired the efficiency on identifying gun parts.
stahn, i appreciate your inputs but why i'm saying this is that i've been recently come across some of those
"nonsense" gun parts as you described: some dudes out there customize the brakes, enlarge them or
though what ever means attempting (including) either add weights to allow easier recoil control (? they thought) ,
reducing flash affect on aim + dusts result from muzzle flash.
Aint exactly familiar with Russians weapon sure make me look like a retard here, regardless it just the impression
of that attachment gives me that feel of a bulky metal canister snapped at the front, afterall, maybe all that left here
to complain is the scale ain't that close to what it should be.

I'd hate to be the pitcher.StahnAileron said:

Tommy and Stahn are correct. As side notes: If you tape a empty tin can of any sort (soup, etc.) to the end of a barrel it will dampen the sound, but (heat absorbing) baffles are needed to really do the trick (decrease heat and you decrease gas exhaust speed, which decreases the sound coming out of the barrel), and the baffles also slow the gas while allowing for the center to flow (where the bullet exits the suppressor) (some homemade ones use paper grommets and steel wool to delay and cool gas) , and some suppressors even use a rubber seal to further suppress sound (one time assassination shots), which delay and cool the gas just a tad bit more before exiting...And...If she can hit a 90 MPH fast ball, she's a damn good sniper...ArthurS91 said:

When I was young (i.e. not legal to own one yet) I would use a water bottle with slits in the side filled with cotton balls soaked in WD-40 (yes I used a cheap gun). Wasn't really effective but ehh what ya gonna do? Now I happily (and more importantly: legally) own two real ones that don't fuck up my gun afterwords.
Or she's using a LMG spitting out 650rpm. No need to aim when you can spray out a wall of lead.Animeticklesmytoes said:

anyways, moving away from the gun discussions, why is she on the baseball field? She's not shooting at the pitcher is she?
