Use medium noise reduction next time, because this was originally a JPEG, but just keep it none when an image is original PNG, Eleanor.

Edit: and go with the 2x option next time instead of 1.6x. You have improved though, and that is something I like.

You do realize that the user who posted this isn't the original artist? So what you are saying right now is kind of wasted.
@WhiteRequiem:

Yes, I do know that Eleanor isn't the original artist. What I was tryna say was that next she uses waifu2x, she better use the 2x option and to not forget to use medium noise reduction when the original image is originally a jpeg. If you do not have a clue what waifu2x is, read here.

But anyways, Eleanor has improved her uploading skills a lot. She's an expert now.
Also, you don't ALWAYS need to x2 things. I'll sometimes go with the x1.6 because the image looks better in that size and because I'm taking the monitor sizes of others in to account.

Ah I see now. Thanks for clearing things up then.

There is no benefit to x1.6 unless you want to sharpen the image a little, in which case you should manually downscale a 2x'd image in an image editor.

Under the hood waifu2x can only upscale to twice the size. Anything lower gets 2x'd, and then downscaled to whatever you chose. To upscale higher than 2x it just chains multiple 2x upscales.
Hey....I do whatever works for me and for the quality I wish to achieve. I don't know anything about using legit image editors.
