This picture seems to harbor a whole bunch of symbolism. Anyone got any opinions on what you think pieces of this picture can mean? On top of all the more obvious parts, I noticed the giant cross-shaped phone poles (they look like phone poles to me) in the back. And does the skeleton have wings (based on the bones on his/her back)? There's also something in the skeleton's hand; it looks like it could possibly be a dead flower, or maybe a key. One last thing: what do you think that object cutting off the upper right part of the picture could be? Just a few things to spark some ideas for anyone willing to tackle it.

I think it means that death will come to all of us eventually, mankind will be wiped out. This picture may portray armageddon or apocalypse. Kind of like judgement day if you think about it. The skeleton at the bottom may have been a person who took one last look at life (flower) before he got wiped out and everyone else got wiped out. The way he clutches the flower probably symbolizes that there was some hope....but not enough hope for him to survive. However....the angel may be the real hope.....the one who can start mankind all over again. She is may be the one to resurrect mankind. To give everyone a second chance. Then the life cycle starts all over again....
Well this is what I think but i'm not sure if it's exactly the truth (^~^)
Depending on the sight i think the thing on the upper right corner could be another of these cross-phone-poles.
The ones in the background also have those cables at their feet.
And i think the skeleton is (was) holding a rose, this could explain the red leaves in the area around it.
1) It looks like the skeleton was an angel as well, note the skeletal wings on its back.
2) The lighted doorway behind the female angel looks more like a book to me and it might represent the Book of Life.
3) The sword like cross in the female angels left hand could represent the Sword of Truth & the book in her right hand could represent the Word of God (aka the Bible).
wow you know what, screw my opinion akhkharu's opinion is better
I just now noticed the petals under the dead flower in his hand. Well that's confirmed now. Glad to see people thinking about this picture, it makes me feel a little less weird for bringing it up ^_^" Mortarion sounds right with the close-up object being another pole, with the wires and all. I think, like with any other symbolic art, this requires pure imagination, so if anyone gets any vibes (or maybe even an enlightening argument proving what you think it all means), go for it. I'm starting to think that those wing-like bones may be suggesting he/she was also an angel, or maybe became an angel due to his/her everlasting hope and faith in some God or even just an ideal. The angel standing next to the door may even be the after-life of the skeleton, rewarded for that faith, even when faced with discouraging circumstances, as hinted by the post-apocalyptic landscape (Thanks 02 for bringing that to attention, it completely flew over my head the first time). If that's the case, then it would also be natural to assume the door is a gateway to Heaven.
