is this supposed to have some 3D effect? It's really annoying to look at :/
A lot of artists seem to do it, for some reason.Wizzard said:

Red, green... Oldschool 3D O.-Agos said:
I think the term you guys are looking for is "depth of field".
The old 3D method uses red and blue, not green. And a few people have said that the separation/offset of color channels that artists tend to use these days is not that old 3D method.
It was meant as a joke, however, the old cardboard 3D glasses I've encountered used red and green. Or I'm colorblind... I don't know anymore
The 3D effect which uses color to separate what the left and right eye see in a 2D image usually use chromatically opposite colors, typically red and cyan (blue-green).
The old monochrome 3D movies used Red and Blue because this was cheaper. Modern techniques use Red and Cyan because this provides for a more realistic color rendition, especially skin tone.

But the old 3-D method for 2-D Comic Books was indeed Red & Green. :)Zolxys said:

This effect is something that is often seen while under the influence of LSD. Artists do it to recreate that effect.
hard to say for certain why he used the effect, isn't it :P i mean unless you know this artist likes to dose lolXupi said:

I don't know where you got that info but if that really is the case, the artist did a very bad job... I do agree that similar effects may be achieved by consuming LSD but I can't even imagine how small a dose you would have to take. Even one blotter of LSD will literally alter the entire enviourment and bright red, yellow, blue, green and purple colours is everywhere to be seen as well as that girl's clothes and face (especially her eyes) will look surrealistic as hell.Xupi said:

Edit: However, it could be an attept to show US that the character herself is high.
Edit #2: I just noticed something... What the hell is wrong with her left hand?! Look at her thumb O.o
