Can someone explain where the "jpeg artifacts" are in this pic?
What you see is the actual pic unmodified just with white border.
I pointed some of them with notes.

If you are editing pictures, always save to, at least, 10 jpeg quality. Or better, save to png.

It appears the original image had those to begin with >_>

It's not confusing, they're just talking about the bad image quality (since it's .jpeg format, not .png).
The artifacts are quite easily spotted, especially if you zoom in. http://i39.tinypic.com/spac8i.png

Well ... some .png images don't work too well with our desktops (when the transparency of the (around the letters) letters of our icons on the desktop is gone)... but in any case... if you save it as a .jpg/.jpeg make sure you go to setting and give the Compression to 100% and change the image quality to "best quality"(that's an example in GIMP).

So the artifacts are caused by the creator, not the saver. And ya, it would be cool if thy people would fix that before uploading.

I have no idea how to fix it. i just put a white border around the pic and thats it. To be honest I couldn't see the artifacts at all. Don't kill me because I can't see these things.
