It might just be me, but I think the vibrant outline, text, sillouete fade, and overtoppling the city portrays the personality and emotions of this person just fine. The lack of detailed facial expressions blend with the style of the overall image. the contrast there makes up for that. Personally I think it would have been better without the mouth and the actual eye, looking down on you and the city.
