Yeah, I'm also needing another HDD, when it's possible I'll get one, a 4 TB HDD from Seagate is well priced, but it's out of stock, it's almost the same price as a WD Blue 2TB HDD, so I find it suspicious, but the site is reliable. If your disk is not working well, don't wait until it fails, better to replace it asap, they are not that expensive compared to the hassles of recovering/restoring/reloading your data/system/programs.
I've always ever used WD HDDs. I've never had a HDD crash or die on me.
I also always used WD, one stopped working because I open it, 2 hd's in two programs shows that it has problems in "Uncorrectable Sector Count" and "Current Pending Sector Count", although only 1 has write and read rate low, the other is normal, I put a program to look for bad blocks, it's been running for 5 hours, but it's still 0 badblock, the other hd should take 1 full day.
I used to use WD about 20 years ago, before switching to Seagate.
Seagate drives proved to be good reliable drives for the 15 or so years I used them. They had free 5 year warranties on all their drives and they very rarely failed within that 5 year period. But then after suddenly having a number of 3TB drives die early (at which time I also found that they no longer had 5 year warranties) I stopped buying them... Though the 4TB Seagate drives I've had for 5 years now are still doing fine.
Anyway, I've switched to the Hitachi HGST line now.

I typically get WD Blacks, although they're HGST now I don't know how the individual qualities of HDD have transitioned. Backblaze releases reliability figures every quarter.
HDD failure is such a pain it's pretty much always worth buying higher quality, regardless of the price difference.

Do you guys know if the MSI Z77A-G43 motherboard is compatible with the MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR 8G OC graphics card?
I found the problem and fixed it.
I have to waterproof 2 USB ports. Any ideas? I'm considering using Mounting putty but I'm not sure how that'd hold up in water.
Edit: The waterproofing must be clearable as one of the USB ports is the charging port. So I can't just epoxy the ports.

You could contact the manufacturer about this.traz64 said:

Great choice of brand btw.

Since you mention a charging port, may I assume you are referring to a Micro USB? If so I would be really leery of using anything that you may not be able to fully remove.
A waterproof box would be the best bet. REI may have exactly what you need. At least worth a try, REI used to carry a lot of waterproof containers for cameras, phones and the like for white water rafting, diving etc.
If a box is simply not an option and the area around the USB opening is completely smooth, that is no seams that would be hard to seal, I would recommend duct tape or some other waterproof/resistant tap.
Also, if you can plug the opening with a piece of cardboard or a small piece of tape to prevent glue from entering, a blob of hot melt glue on the surface is also an option, I have seen variants that are intended to be removed. It has the benefit that it is solid and tack free when it cools down, while mounting putty remains soft and sticky - it will stick to anything that comes in contact such as fabric and may pull off if the stick is better to the contacting surface allowing water to enter.

LISP, The first chatbot called Doctor was written in Lisp at MIT, it simulated a psychologist..... The second chatbot was also written in LISP, I forget, either at Berkley or CalTech.....it was called Psycho.....and was written to chat with Doctor.....
Anyone here already used and know if a Toshiba HDD is good? DT01ACA200 or HDWD120XZSTA
If you know Python you can do it by yourself or contact with it developers. In my case better to use help of IT team like http://chatbots.intellexer.com/ which have a big expeirence in web developing.samuiii said:

Okay, so ... I'm pretty sure I was reading about this topic on konachans forum, but it appears I can't find it anymore. Does anyone by chance know of a program (or addon for firefox) that I can fill with filters and a URL to start at, which then automatically saves a certain image from that page (respecting filters here) and then follows a certain link to the next page and there starts over? I found some image galleries on the web and want to download all the images, but only the important ones, not the images for like "next page", "previous page" and shit.
Can anyone help me here?

I don't know of any program or extension that does that, but it is fairly easy to write a userscript that will do the job.
I've been trying to do port forwarding for a few days, I do through the modem settings, I used to do it before, but now it's not working, I also opened the ports on the firewall and it didn't work either, it's for private trackers, because of that my upload is extremely low, I don't want to use third-party programs.
@Charly I'm not sure if I understand but it's on imageboard? if so Grabber or DanbooruDownloader, if not Bulk Image Downloader, is paid, you have to crack it, years ago I tried to use in minitokyo, but I stopped using it, I found a better way.

Does the router you're using not support UPnP port forwarding? I think most applications these days that use private trackers can handle port forwarding automatically via NAT-PMP or UPnP port forwarding. Though you may have to enable that option in your application's settings.
Do you have more than one NAT layer (2 or more routers your connection goes through)? If you're adding port forwarding rules, you'll need to do it for all NAT layers.
Have you checked for old port forwarding rules that may be interfering with the one you just created?
If none you those help, I think you'll need to provide more information about your application and hardware configuration.

UPnP is enabled on the router, NAT-PMP and UPnP is also enabled on uTorrent
Yeah, I use 2 routers, not to mention a wireless repeater, one the main router and the other for WiFi
I'll redo them, I think it is possible that this happened.
I'm using uTorrent 2.2.1, 2 router is from the brand Link One, and the other Nexu Networks
Before I remember that I first assigned a static ip, then port forwarding, so I restarted the router, after that I expected my status to be connectable on the sites, but I used a different port, I don't remember which one, before I don't remember if I released it on the firewall, but I did it recently, I haven't used these sites for about a year, in that time, I just changed the internet speed and put a wireless repeater, I'm using the default port of uTorrent.

I use the NAT-PMP/UPnP option with two NAT layers and no custom forwarding rules and it works fine. Though if it doesn't for you, I'd suggest one of the following:
A) Use only one NAT Layer. Most routers can be set up as a switch or access point. Or you could replace the inner router with an access point. I doubt you'll have any trouble with UPnP with only one NAT layer. (And just in case it wouldn't be obvious to you, the access point would have to go between your computer and the router)
Keep in mind that that this will put you on a different NAT layer (which most likely uses a different subnet). And you would have to reconfigure for any devices that use static IPs, port forwarding, or port triggering.
B) Connect directly to the other router if possible.
C) Disable UPnP in your sortware and set up port forwarding on both routers. Keep in mind that on the outer router, you're forwarding the port not to your computer but rather to the inner router. The inner router should be set up to use a static IP (outside of the outer router's DHCP range of course).
D) Try qBittorrent. I abandoned uTorrent a long time ago due to the app getting worse and worse.
Disable your forwarding rules and try it with just the NAT-PMP/UPnP option in qBittorrent. Honestly, I don't know how it works for me with two layers. It could be that my inner router uses UPnP port forwarding on the outer one. That seems like the most likely possibility. But it's still worth a try. It's most likely the better choice anyway.

Can someone explain to me, in very simple terms, why 720p and 720p60 are no longer listed as HD on YouTube anymore? Has the quality of these resolutions been lessened?
And is it due to the coronavirus?
And is it due to the coronavirus?
No, the quality hasn't changed. The times have.
I can remember when 640x480 was standard and 800x600 with 16 bit color was "High quality".
As they keep coming out with newer technology, standards change.

I saw people going back and forth about how 720p is still technically HD and YouTube can't decide the standards for that, but all that stuff isn't in my wheelhouse.
I'm just glad the quality itself isn't different. It didn't LOOK different to me, but my brain was tricking me in to thinking "Well it doesn't say 'HD' anymore so it must not look as good?".
My computer chugs a bit with 1080p60 so I don't really use it.
Thanks for answering my question so quickly.
P.S. And thanks for helping with that tag too!

@Zolxys, tomorrow when I wake up, I'll try what you told me, now it's almost midnight, then I update here.
I use uTorrent because it's lighter, I currently have 323 active torrent, I'm still adding new torrent and rechecking the files, in total there will be 700~1000, this if I didn't give up adding everything, but I already used qbitorrent.
I wonder if it has something to do with my IP, from 2019 to 2020 it went from 192.14x to 170.23x.

It's not like they're calling it something it isn't though. "720" should be clear enough a description even without being tagged HD.otaku_emmy said:

The term "HD" can be used in a number of ways. If you see "Full HD", "Quad HD" or "UHD", those refer to one or more specific resolutions. And which ones they refer to will absolutely never change. Though it's also a term people use to simply refer to anything of acceptable quality to them, whatever that may be. (It's not like there's any other common term tor that).
I'd say this is especially the case when you see it added as a tag next to a specific resolution designation. Can you think of something better to use if you're only going to tag 1080 and higher?

Okay, I'm younger than you (by one year) but I beat you when it comes to old hard- and software :) The first computer I regularly got a hand on ran on DOS 4.01, Win 2.1 and used Hercules Graphics. What was that? 720x200 or 720x400? It was monochrome, though.Zolxys said:

A simple userscript to do the job would be written specifically for the website and job you wish to do.
A userscript is simply a block of javascript that is added to a page when it loads. It can easily be written to load an image from a link, save it once it has been loaded, and then click on a link to go to the next one.
