You've misunderstood on that point. This pool is only for a set of static examples. Images will continue to be deleted as usual.
Of course I'm absolutely in favor of re-deleting these and just using the files.

We don't currently have any legal problems with explicit loli. One of our admins even said they'd look into unblocking it.
